Ancient tradition speaks of these words as being engraved on the Emerald Tablet of the "Thrice-greatest" sage, king and philosopher, Hermea Trismegistus By these words is meant that whatever occurs in the universe, the macrocosm, also occurs in humanity, the microcosm. This concept implies that the human body is a symbolic representation of a Greater Entity: that by understanding the subtle forces within, we may come to know the nature of the universe, and in so doing we can begin to comprehend. if not the character, at least the essence of Deity Itself.

Wheels of Light explores those "subtle energies" within. This multi-volume work represents the most comprehensive description of the subtle energy or chakra system ever written. Rosalyn L. Bruyere is the founder and director of the Healing Light Center Church in Glendale. California and brings a varied background to her work as a teacher, researcher, minister and healer. Using her skills in perceiving and interpreting auric phenomena, she was instrumental in research conducted at UCLA on a broad range of topics. This dual involvement in research and healing has provided the primary inspiration for Reverend Bruyere's work.
